How to treat mild Sore Hocks!

Disclaimer: This is not 100% guaranteed to work and I am not a veterinarian. Before you judge me for this home treatment, if my rabbits were very close to danger I will definitely bring them to Manila. But to save them from stress, I did my research and asked our veterinarian regarding this home treatment, if it's safe. I live in a rural area in the Philippines, though my family own a veterinary clinic, we don't have veterinary clinics here that accepts rabbits as patients.

Above is a list of things you will need. First take your basin and add 1 cup of water and 1 table spoon of hydrogen peroxide. Mix them together and soak the towel in the hydrogen peroxide water mixture. Squeeze out the excess mixture from the towel and tuck in the damp towel inside the courier. Place your rabbit inside and set your timer for 20 minutes. Repeat the procedure 2 times a day.

And that's it! Sore hocks is usually caused by improper flooring and rabbits being confined in a small cage for a long time, so be sure to give your rabbits time to exercise (minimum of 3 hrs) and to place foam mats with fleece in your rabbit's cage floors.

Hope this was helpful for you! Hop on!
